St. Elizabeth School of Nursing celebrates May graduation

The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing will celebrate the May commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 7 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1916 Meharry St., Lafayette.

The ceremony will include distribution of nursing pins and the conferring of diplomas.

Patty Lunsford, a medical librarian at St. Elizabeth Regional Health, will be the keynote speaker. Lunsford has served as a medical librarian at St. Elizabeth Regional Health since 1989.

After passing the national licensing examination, St. Elizabeth School of Nursing graduates may practice as registered nurses.

The St. Elizabeth School of Nursing is a three-year diploma school of nursing. It is the only hospital-based school of nursing in Indiana. A bachelor’s degree in nursing option is available in conjunction with Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer.
