St. Elizabeth Regional Health to host Community Open House for St. Elizabeth East

The new St. Elizabeth East does not open its doors to patients until Feb. 25, but the public will get a chance to take a sneak peek at the new facility before opening day. St. Elizabeth Regional Health will host a Community Open House from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010. The open house will allow the physicians and staff of St. Elizabeth Regional Health to showcase the new 410,000 square-foot facility to the public.

“After three years of planning, we are excited to share the new St. Elizabeth East with the community. The new state-of-the-art hospital embraces our strong community roots and our foundation of medical excellence,” said Terry Wilson, president and CEO of St. Elizabeth Regional Health.

The new 150 bed hospital is located at 1701 South Creasy Lane in Lafayette. At the open house, the community will have the opportunity to take a tour of the facility and see some of the areas of the hospital that are typically closed to the public. The open house is free and open to the public. Visitors may enter St. Elizabeth East through any of the hospital’s four entrances to begin their tour.

The new St. Elizabeth East features:
• 150 private inpatient rooms,
• An interior courtyard and chapel,
• Women’s Center with single room maternity care suites,
• The region’s only dedicated Pediatric Center,
• 14 Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) suites,
