Home Hospital traces its roots back to the Home for the Friendless, established in 1869 on Lafayette’s north side. In 1895, Home Hospital was officially organized and incorporated. Home Hospital has provided hospital services at its current location along South Street across from Columbian Park since 1898.
All births at St. Elizabeth Regional Health facilities will now happen at the St. Elizabeth Women’s Center at St. Elizabeth East, a state-of-the-art hospital located at 1701 S. Creasy Lane on Lafayette’s east side, which opened on Feb. 25, 2010.
