The program will be presented by Shelley G. Jones, author of healing of a violated spirit and founder of Heal the Wounded Spirit, with her husband, William O. Jones.
This program is for health care providers, mental health providers, social workers, chaplains, pastors, church leaders and community members. Continuing education credits will be available for certain professions.
During this presentation, participants will learn about:
- Living in a culture lacking in moral code or ethics.
- Seeing God, the world and relationships through wounded eyes.
- Emotional, spiritual woundedness and repressed memories.
- The outcast – the one bound in guilt, shame, filth and unworthiness.
- The unethical and spiritually toxic side of abuse.
- The ethical and spiritual side of healing the wounded spirit.
Shelley, a survivor of childhood sexual and spiritual abuse, speaks from the heart concerning her journey from emotional and spiritual woundedness and estrangement from God to knowing emotional and spiritual freedom. William – with Shelley – co-own Cornerstone Seeds, a hybrid seed corn company in Burlington.
