Kathryn Weil Center for Education and Spirit of Women encourage women to become active with ‘Life’s Not A Spectator Sport’

The Kathryn Weil Center for Education and the Spirit of Women are hosting a fun and informative way for area women to stop being a spectator and become active.

The Kathryn Weil Center for Education will present “Life’s Not A Spectator Sport” at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28 at the Kathryn Weil Center for Education, 415 N. 26th St., Suite 400.

“Life’s Not A Spectator Sport” will include several presentations and free demonstrations, as well as door prizes designed to make the evening both fun and educational. The following events are currently scheduled:

  • "Life’s Not A Spectator Sport" by Amanda Morris, M.D., a family medicine physician with Sigma Medical Group. Dr. Morris will speak on benefits of physical activity and tips on staying active throughout your lifetime.
  • "Ready, Set, Live" by Char Elle En, ACSW. Elle En will discuss life transitions and provide ideas for creating a practical plan for living your life more fully.

Additional interactive presentations will be provided by the following organizations: Hodson’s Bay Company, Coyote Crossing Golf Course, FlyMasters of Indianapolis, Wabash River Cycle Club, Mike Aulby’s Arrowhead Bowl and the YWCA with swimming and yoga.

The Kathryn Weil Center for Education and St. Elizabeth Regional Health are members of the Spirit of Women, a national coalition of hospitals and health care providers that pledge to provide the highest standards of excellence in women’s health, education and community outreach.
